Job Role: Content Creator (Festival Place Basingstoke)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (some weekend and evening work will be required)

We’re looking for a talented Content Creator to join our award-winning team and lead day-to-day content activity for Festival Place, one of the South’s leading shopping and leisure destinations.
Based in the Festival Place offices, you’ll capture and create engaging, trend-led content that showcases the centre’s retailers, restaurants, and events - bringing the Festival Place feeling to life across social channels.
You’ll be part of a wider creative and digital team at Destination, working closely with the central content, design and PR teams to ensure every post, photo, and video aligns with the brand and delivers results.
Key Responsibilities:
Create engaging, on-brand content for all channels (social media, website, email).
Work with the Destination content team to plan and schedule posts in line with the agreed content calendar.
Attend and document in-centre events, retailer promotions, and community activities.
Monitor and engage with followers, responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a friendly, helpful tone.
Liaise with retailers and leisure operators to gather content and promote their news or offers.
Support wider marketing campaigns by adapting creative and messaging for digital and social use.
Keep up-to-date with content trends and share ideas to help grow reach and engagement.
Contribute to monthly reporting on social performance and audience insight.
Maintain and update the centre’s digital asset library (photos, videos, campaign files).
Attend quarterly team catch-ups in Exeter for creative collaboration and professional development.
Person Specification
Essential:
Proven experience creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube).
Excellent copywriting, grammar, and communication skills.
Confident using photo and video editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express).
Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Friendly and confident working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Willingness to travel to Exeter for quarterly collaboration and training sessions.
Flexibility to support major seasonal events or out-of-hours activations.
Desirable:
Experience working in retail, leisure, hospitality, or events.
Understanding of social analytics and how to measure engagement.
Experience collaborating with photographers, videographers or influencers.
