Whether you’re looking for somewhere where the children can burn off all their energy, or just a mooch around the shops and a tasty meal, Festival Place has something for every family this half-term.
Burn off some energy
Let little imaginations run wild in Basingstoke’s newest soft play area at Basingstoke Sports Centre, with ball pools, slides, interactive play zones and a special area just for little ones under two. Or why not let them jump until their hearts content at Flip Out, with foam pits, the three-zone indoor Ninja Assault Course and an adrenaline pumping 28ft drop super slide.
Take part in a workshop
Do your little ones enjoy mixing potions? Bring them along to Lush for some bath bomb workshops. They might even be happy to have a bath when they get home.
Enjoy the big screen
Get the popcorn ready, sit back and relax with hours of bliss at Vue Cinema – choose from Mufasa: The Lion King, Dog Man, Moana 2 or Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Go Green
Along with daily rhyme time and story time, Basingstoke Discovery Centre is hosting an array of nature themed events throughout half-term. Children can plant their own trees while exploring an interactive oxygen diagram at Breathe with Trees. Learn the value of recycling by designing and building a green friend out of recycled materials at Green Crafters, or explore the world of renewable energy by building colourful, wind-powered pinwheels at Whirling Wind Wonders.
Big appetites
With plenty entertainment to keep your family busy, you’ll want lots of refreshment stops throughout the day.
Looking for brunch? Heavenly Desserts serves brunch every day until 4.30pm – think smoked salmon & avocado on toasted sourdough for yourself while the children try their famous croffles.
When only a burger will do, head to Five Guys and personalise your burger with 15 different toppings to choose from – and don’t forget to grab the new popcorn milkshake!
On the go? Not a problem! Pick up a cool drink at Bubble CiTea, a macaroon at La Vo Patisserie, or a dreamy doughnut at Wenzel’s bakery.
Plus, children can eat for free at some of our restaurants and cafes throughout half-term.
