Here’s what to look out for this May, from new releases to films currently showing.

Dune Part Two

With incredible sweeping scenes just made for the big screen, this much-anticipated sequel sees Paul Atreides unite with Chani and the Fremen to seek revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Starring Timothee Chalomet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem.

Challengers

Zendaya stars in this romantic sports drama about former tennis prodigy turned coach Tashi, who has turned her husband into a champion. But he’s on a losing streak, and to overcome it, he must face his former best friend – and Tashi’s ex!

Kung Fu Panda 4

Pop on your stretchy pants and load up on snacks – Jack Black is back as the unlikely plus-size panda and Kung Fu master Po in the fourth instalment of this much-loved series. This time, Po has to face a shapeshifting sorceress who has taken skills from all of Po’s former foes to become the ultimate warrior.

Back to Black

The extraordinary story of Amy Winehouse’s rise to fame and the making of her iconic album, Back to Black. Starring Marisa Abela, Eddie Marsan and Jack O’Connell.

Civil War

A team of military-embedded journalists race across a dystopian future America to reach Washington before rebel factions descend on the White House. Kirsten Dunst stars.

Wicked Little Letters

Based on a true scandal, this black comedy mystery follows an investigation into the anonymous author of vicious poison pen letters sent to the residents of a seaside town. Olivia Colman, Timothy Spall, Eileen Atkins and Gemma Jones star.

The Fall Guy

Action comedy about a down and out stuntman who must find the missing star of his ex-girlfriend's blockbuster film. Stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt and Hannah Waddingham.

A young girl starts seeing everyone’s imaginary friends from childhood who have been left behind. Starring Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cailey Fleming, and Steve Carell.
